We're always looking for the perfect tool for the job. As anglers, we can't help it there's always something better... Well, not anymore. I can't possible imagine a reel that fits in the palm with the heel of the hand perfectly landing on the thumbar, equipped with a flippin' switch and a no friction line counter for smooth lure drops! Even the levelwind disengages allowing the lightest lures to be cast, flipped or my favorite presentation: vertical jigging. Remember to start the season with a new battery rather than waiting for the low battery icon and you won't have an issue even when using the backlight for those early morning outings. It took me a while to get used to the proximity "beep" when the lure is getting close to the rod tip but now it I know without looking when my lure is getting close. The Max Toro also has a gear ratio that's the fastest I've ever experienced in a low profile reel. This is an amazing product and I could not be happier with it!
